Component Tests and General Diagnostics

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. With the ignition switch in the On position and the engine at normal operating temperature, disconnect coolant temperature switch.
3. Ground connector terminal BK/GN. The fan should operate.
4. Shake wiring harness between fan motor and relays. Look for signs of opens or shorts.
5. Ensure air conditioning and cooling systems are functioning properly.
6. Check ECA pinpoint test.
