This TSB article is being republished in its entirety to correct the service part numbers for the Oil Pipe and the Thermo Switch Box.
ISSUE:
Automatic transaxle fluid may leak from the cooler line in the thermo switch box area. The leak may be caused by a dented or rough washer seat surface on the thermo switch box which prevents a good seal.
ACTION:
Install a new inlet tube and attaching hardware. Refer to the procedure for service details.
INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1. Remove the flexible air tube and resonance chamber between the vane air flow meter and the intake manifold, Figure 1.

2. Locate the thermo switch box on top of the 4EAT transaxle, Figure 2.

3. Inspect the transaxle cooler lines at the thermo switch box for leaks, Figure 3.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

1. Remove the shift cable hold-down and shield, Figure 4.
2. Remove the transaxle inlet fluid line. The inlet line is the longer of the two lines, Figure 3.
3. Take apart the U-shaped oil hose, connector pipe and oil pipe, Figure 3.
4. Check the surface of the thermo switch box washer seat for dents or nicks. If the surface is dented or marred, replace the existing thermo switch box with a new design thermo switch box.
5. Install the new "banjo" style fluid inlet line, Figure 2.

6. Tighten all fasteners to the torque specifications shown in Figure 5.
7. Re-install the shift cable hold-down and shield.
8. Re-install the resonance chamber and air intake tube.
