Ford Motor Company is providing a no-charge Service Program, Number 91M76, to owners of certain 1989 Probe vehicles.


REASON FOR The outer metal wrapping on the muffler may
THIS PROGRAM rust and peel away from the muffler.

Severe rust may also be clearly visible on the rear of the muffler.

The internal construction of the muffler is not affected, and the muffler is fully functional.

PROGRAM COVERAGE/ Certain owners of 1989 Probe vehicles will
REFUNDS be notified of a no-charge muffler coverage.

Coverage will be provided up to 36,000 miles/36 months in service or through the end July 1992 whichever provides the greatest coverage.

SERVICE PROVIDED If you have this muffler condition on your

Probe, your Ford dealer will install a new muffler at no cost to you. Other exhaust components that may be rusted are not covered by this program.

HOW LONG WILL The time needed for this service is less
IT TAKE? than one hour. However, due to service

scheduling times, your dealer may need your Probe for one full working day.


CALL YOUR DEALER Call your dealer, ask for a service date and
if parts are in stock.

If your dealer does not have the parts in stock, they can be ordered before scheduling your service date. Parts would be expected to arrive within a week.

When you bring your Probe in, give the dealer this letter.

If you misplace this letter, your dealer will still do the work, free of charge.
