CLEANING
Cassette Tape Player
Over a period of time, the playback head, capstans, and pinch rollers gather an oxide residue as the tape passes these components while playing. This oxide accumulation can cause weak or wavering sound and damage to the cassette tape and/or player.
For best performance, it is recommended that the player be cleaned every 10 to 12 hours of playing time with a Ford cassette cleaning cartridge or equivalent.
CAUTION: The use of other cassette cleaning products is not recommended, as these could cause damage to the player or cassette tapes.
