HEATER-AIR DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM-AIR BLEED FROM PANEL REGISTERS WHILE IN FLOOR MODE

ISSUE: Excessive air bleed out of the instrument panel registers when the heater control is in the floor mode may be caused by a misadjusted function control cable at the mode cam on the heater assembly.
ACTION: Adjust the function control cable at the mode cam. Refer to the following procedure for service details.
1. Disconnect the function control cable from the cable clip on the heater assembly.
2. Adjust the mode cam on the heater assembly to the panel position.
3. Adjust the control assembly lever to the panel position.
4. Re-connect the function control cable to the cable clip.
