Thermostat: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery ground cable, then isolate cable end with electrical tape.

2. Drain cooling system, then remove lower radiator hose from thermostat housing.
3. Remove two thermostat housing attaching bolts, then the housing.
4. Remove thermostat from housing.
5. Reverse procedure to install. Tighten to 14-19 ft lb.
