Front Crankshaft Seal: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery ground cable, then isolate cable end with electrical tape.
2. Drain cooling system, then remove air intake system.
3. Remove power steering hose hold-down bracket bolts from cylinder head cover.
4. Remove power steering pump belt shield, then loosen adjusting bolt.
5. Loosen lock bolt and power steering pump through bolt.
6. Remove power steering belt.
7. Loosen alternator adjusting bolt, then the alternator upper mounting bolt.
8. Raise and support vehicle, then remove splash shields.
9. Loosen lower alternator through bolt, lower vehicle and remove alternator belt.
10. Using crankshaft pulley holder T92C-6316-AH or equivalent, remove crankshaft pulley attaching bolt.
11. Remove crankshaft pulley, sprocket and guide plate.
12. Using seal remover tool No. T92C-6700 or equivalent, remove front oil seal.
13. Reverse procedure to install.
