Cigarette Lighter: Service and Repair
Removal1. If equipped, remove the armrest.
2. If equipped with a manual transaxle, unscrew the shifter knob.
3. If equipped with an automatic transaxle, remove the emergency override key switch cover.
4. Engage the parking brake.
5. Pull up on the upper half of the floor console to separate it from the lower half.
6. Disconnect the cigar lighter electrical connector.
7. Disconnect the cigar lighter element electrical connector.
8. Remove the ashtray illumination bulb from the upper half of the floor console.
9. Unscrew the cigar lighter housing cover.
10. Remove the cigar lighter from the upper half of the floor console.
Installation
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
