Tachometer: Description and Operation

The Tachometer is an electronic unit that displays engine speed in crankshaft revolutions per minute (RPM). The Tachometer has 2 coils that are 90 degrees apart. These coils are controlled by a solid-state module that determines the engine's RPM by monitoring the pulses on circuit 59 (BK).
