Ball Joint: Testing and Inspection

Check for ball joint wear by raising vehicle until wheel is off ground. Support suspension arm so there is no load on suspension strut. Attempt to rock wheel top-to-bottom. If any wobble is felt, look for movement between suspension lower arm and wheel knuckle. Any movement indicates ball joint wear.
