Fuel Pressure Regulator: Service and Repair

WARNING: Fuel in the fuel system remains under high pressure even when the engine is not running.

1. Perform the fuel pressure release procedure. Fuel Pressure Release
2. Disconnect the battery ground cable.

WARNING: Plug the fuel tubes after removing them from the fuel injection supply manifold to prevent fuel leakage.

Fuel Pressure Regulator:

3. Disconnect the fuel tube from the fuel pressure regulator.
4. Disconnect the fuel pressure regulator vacuum line.

Fuel Pressure Regulator:

5. Remove the fuel pressure regulator bolts (2).
6. To install, reverse the removal procedure, using a new o-ring and a new fuel return hose clamp. Tighten the fuel pressure regulator bolts to 8-11 Nm (71-97 lb in).
