Brake Pedal Height

1. Check that the distance from the center of the brake pedal pad to the floor carpet is within specifications. It must be between 191.5-196.5 mm (7.54-7.74 inches).
2. If necessary, adjust the brake pedal height by adjusting the brake pedal push rod.
^ Loosen the brake pedal stopper locknut and turn the brake pedal stopper bolt until it no longer contacts the brake pedal.
^ Loosen the master cylinder push rod fork end bracket locknut.
^ Adjust the brake pedal height by turning the brake pedal push rod until the brake pedal height is 191.5-196.5 mm (7.54-7.74 inches).
^ Tighten the master cylinder push rod fork end bracket locknut to 24-34 Nm (17-25 ft. lbs.).
^ Turn the brake pedal stopper bolt until it contacts the brake pedal, then turn the brake pedal stopper bolt an additional half-turn.
^ Tighten the brake pedal stopper locknut to 9.8-11 Nm (7.2-8.1 ft. lbs.).
