Whenever the front disc brake caliper is rebuilt, inspect the front disc brake caliper bore, front disc brake caliper piston seal groove and front disc brake caliper piston for:
^ Cuts
^ Deep scratches
^ Pitting

The front disc brake caliper piston and front disc brake caliper bore may be lightly polished with crocus cloth, but if deep scratches remain, the front disc brake caliper must be replaced. The front disc brake caliper piston seal groove in the front disc brake caliper must be free of deep scratches that would prevent the front disc brake caliper piston seal from working properly.
