Backing Plate: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Remove the rear brake shoes and linings.
2. Remove the parking brake rear cable and conduit from the hole in the brake backing plate.





3. Remove the brake line flare nut from the rear wheel cylinder using a line wrench.
4. Remove the two rear wheel cylinder bolts and remove the rear wheel cylinder.
5. Remove the two brake backing plate bolts.
6. Remove the rear brake backing plate from the rear wheel spindle.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
