MTX Without ABS
NOTE: The brake booster to master cylinder push rod does not normally need adjusting unless the brake master cylinder has been changed. If it is adjusted too long, it will cause dragging-brakes. If it is adjusted too short, it will cause a low brake pedal.1. Remove the brake master cylinder.
2. Position Master Cylinder Gauge T87C-2500-A on the end of the brake master cylinder, loosen the set screw, and push the gauge plunger against the bottom of the brake master cylinder primary piston.

3. While holding the gauge in position, tighten the set screw.
4. Apply 500mm-Hg (19.7 in-Hg) vacuum to the power brake booster with Vacuum Pump D83L-7059-A or equivalent.
5. Invert the gauge and place it over the power brake booster push rod.
6. Check to make sure that there is no space between the end of the adjustment gauge and the power brake booster push rod.
7. If there is space between the end of the adjustment gauge and the power brake booster push rod, loosen the power brake booster push rod locknut and adjust the power brake booster push rod until there is no space.
8. Install the brake master cylinder.

9. After the brake master cylinder is installed, the brake booster to master cylinder push rod clearance will be as follows:
^ No vacuum 0.4-0.6 mm (0.016-0.024 in)
^ 500 mm-Hg vacuum 0.1-0.4 mm (0.004-0.012 in)
