Parking Brake Control: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Remove the console panel.
3. Remove the two screws and the parking brake lever boot.





4. Remove the screw from the parking brake signal switch and bracket located on the parking brake control.
5. Disconnect the parking brake signal switch and bracket electrical connector from the parking brake control.





6. Remove the locknut from the parking brake control.
7. Remove the two parking brake control bolts from the parking brake control.
8. Remove the parking brake control.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure. Tighten the two parking brake control bolts to 19-25 Nm ( 14-19 ft. lbs.).
