Temperature Gauge: Description and Operation

The coolant temperature gauge is identified by a thermometer in water on the gauge face and is located to the left of the speedometer, below the fuel gauge. The coolant temperature gauge utilizes a wirewound bimetal strip attached to a pointer. When heated by circuit current flow, the wirewound bimetal strip changes the pointer position. Circuit current flow is controlled by a water temperature sender unit.
