Lifter / Lash Adjuster: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Remove the camshafts.
2. Remove the hydraulic lash adjusters (HLA) from the cylinder head.

NOTE: Mark the position of each of the HLA during removal if any are to be reused.

INSTALLATION
1. Coat the friction surfaces of the HLAs with clean engine oil, then install the HLAs in the cylinder head.

NOTE: If reusing the original HLAs, make sure to install them in the same position from which they were removed.

2. Install the camshafts.
