Rear Manifold

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Raise and support the vehicle.
3. Disconnect the heated oxygen sensor (H02S) electrical connectors.





4. Remove the three nuts from the front exhaust inlet pipe and three nuts from the rear exhaust inlet pipe and lower the exhaust system.
5. Disconnect the EGR valve to exhaust manifold tube from the exhaust manifold.
6. Remove the upstream heated oxygen sensor (H02S) from the exhaust manifold.
7. Remove the two warm-up three way catalytic converter shield bolts and remove the warm-up three way catalytic converter shields.





8. Remove the three exhaust manifold shield bolts and remove the exhaust manifold shield.





9. Remove the two exhaust manifold nuts and five bolts from the exhaust manifold and remove the exhaust manifold and the exhaust manifold gasket from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure. Use a new exhaust manifold gasket.
^ Tighten the exhaust manifold nuts and bolts to 19-25 Nm (14-18 ft. lbs.).
^ Tighten the exhaust manifold shield bolts to 8-10 Nm (71-88 inch lbs.).
