Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview

1. Verify the customer concern by operating all of the warning chime functions.
2. Visually inspect the components of the warning chime system:

Mechanical
- Damaged seat belt buckle switch

Electrical
- Blown fuse(s):
+ 15A METER
+ 15A ROOM
+ 15A TAIL
- Damaged ignition key reminder switch
- Damaged wiring harness
- Loose or corroded connections

3. Verify that the parking lamp system is working properly.
4. Check the wiring harness for obvious signs of shorts, opens, bad connections, or damage.
5. If the fault is not visually evident, determine the symptom and proceed to the Symptom Chart. Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures
