Fuel Pressure Regulator: Service and Repair

REMOVAL and INSTALLATION

WARNING: Fuel in the system remains under high pressure even when the engine is not running.

1. Perform the fuel pressure release procedure.

2. Disconnect the fuel return hose.
3. Disconnect the vacuum line from the fuel pressure regulator.
4. Remove the bolts from the fuel pressure regulator. Remove the fuel pressure regulator.
5. Remove the 0-ring seal from the fuel pressure regulator.
6. To install, reverse the removal procedure, using a new O-ring and a new fuel return hose clamp.
- Tighten the fuel pressure regulator bolts to 8-10 Nm (71-88 lb in).
