Fuel Tank Draining

WARNING:
- When draining fuel from the fuel tank, keep sparks, smoking materials, and open flames away from the vehicle.
- The fuel system contains pressurized fuel after the vehicle is shut down and will maintain this pressure for a long period of time.

1. Perform the fuel pressure release procedure.
2. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
3. If the fuel gauge indicates the vehicle has a half-full fuel tank or more, you must first drain the fuel directly from the fuel tank filler pipe.
- Drain the fuel from the fuel tank using Rotunda(r) Fuel Storage Tanker 164-R320 1 with optional Rotunda(r) Fuel Tanker Adapter Hose (Hose Adapter) 164-R3206 or equivalent inserted into the fuel tank filler pipe.
- If the fuel gauge indicates that the vehicle has less than a half-full tank of fuel, go to the next step.
4. Raise and support the vehicle.

Filler Pipe:

5. Loosen the hose clamps and remove the fuel tank to filler pipe hose. Discard the hose clamps.
6. Drain the fuel from the fuel tank using the Rotunda(r) Fuel Storage Tanker 164-R3201 or equivalent.
7. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
8. Check the fuel tank and connections for leaks.
- Install the fuel tank filler pipe using new hose clamps.
