Clockspring Assembly / Spiral Cable: Description and Operation

PURPOSE
The air bag sliding contact transfers electrical signals from the steering column to the steering wheel for the driver side air bag module, the horn system and the speed control system.

NOTE: The air bag sliding contact is part of the multi-function switch and is not serviced separately.
