Steering Column Joint/Sphere

REMOVAL
1. Remove the lower steering column shaft.
2. Remove the four steering column tube boot plate nuts.
3. Remove the steering column tube boot plate with the steering column tube boot.
4. Remove the steering column lower yoke-to-power steering gear input shaft and control bolt.
5. Remove the steering column lower yoke.

INSTALLATION
1. Install the steering column lower yoke.
2. Install the steering column lower yoke-to-power steering gear input shaft and control bolt. Tighten the steering column lower yoke-to-power steering gear input shaft and control bolt to 18-26 Nm (13-20 ft. lbs.).
3. Install the steering column tube boot plate with the steering column tube boot.
4. Install the four steering column tube boot plate nuts. Tighten the steering column tube boot plate nuts to 4.7-6.7 Nm (42-59 inch lbs.).
5. Install the lower steering column shaft.
