Pressure Regulating Solenoid: Description and Operation

DESCRIPTION
The shift solenoid (SS) assembly consists of seven individual solenoids. These are:
^ 1-2 Shift Solenoid:
^ 2-3 Shift Solenoid:
^ 3-4 Shift Solenoid:
^ Torque Converter Clutch Control (TCCC) Solenoid
^ 3-2 Timing Solenoid
^ Line Pressure Solenoid
^ Torque Converter Clutch (TCC) Solenoid

LINE PRESSURE SOLENOID:
^ The line pressure solenoid is located on the valve body and is switched on and off by duty-cycle regulated electrical signals from the PCM.
^ The line pressure solenoid regulates line pressure supplied to the shift valve(s) and other Transaxle components. The line pressure solenoid is switched on and off at a duty-cycle frequency of 31.25 Hz to maintain a specified line pressure.
