Seals and Gaskets: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Raise and support the vehicle.
2. Remove the front wheel and tire assemblies.
3. Drain the automatic transmission fluid (ATF).
4. Remove the LH front wheel driveshaft and joint or RH front wheel driveshaft and joint.
5. Remove the differential oil seals using Seal Remover T92C-6700-CH or equivalent.





INSTALLATION
1. Use Differential Seal Replace T87C-77000-H to tap in new differential oil seals.





2. Replace the driveshaft bearing retainer clip located on the end of the LH front wheel driveshaft and joint.
3. Install the LH front wheel driveshaft and joint or RH front wheel driveshaft and joint.
4. Install the front wheel and tire assemblies. Tighten the lug nuts to 89-117 (66-86 ft).
5. Lower the vehicle.
6. Add type ATF and check for leaks.
