Shift Cable: Adjustments

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
^ 2. Remove the console finish panel.
3. Shift the transmission range selector to the PARK (P) position.
4. Remove the transmission control selector dial bezel mounting screws and lift the transmission control selector dial bezel out of the way.





5. Slide the lock cover back.
6. Disconnect the set button.
7. Slide the transmission range selector to adjust the position.
8. Connect the set button.
9. Slide the lock cover to lock the set button in place.
10. Install the transmission control selector dial bezel and the transmission control selector dial bezel screws.
11. Tighten the transmission control selector dial bezel screws to 2-2.9 Nm (17-26 inch lbs.).
12. Install the console finish panel.
13. Connect the battery ground cable.
14. Verify proper operation of the shift cable and bracket.
