Rear Control Valve Body, Overhaul






DISASSEMBLY

NOTE: The individual valves and springs are removed by removing the stop pins and stop plugs. The valves will slide in and out under their own weight. Be careful not to damage the valves. Clean as necessary. Apply the specified automatic transmission fluid (ATF) to all parts and bores.

DISASSEMBLY
1. Remove the manual valve.
2. Remove the pressure regulator stop pin, pressure regulator plug sleeve, pressure regulator stop plug, pressure regulator spring seat, pressure regulator spring, and the pressure regulator valve.
3. Remove the torque converter clutch control (TCCC) stop pin, TCCC plug, TCCC valve, and the TCCC spring.
4. Remove the 2-3 timing stop pin, 2-3 timing stop plug, 2-3 timing spring, and the 2-3 timing valve.
5. Clean and inspect rear control valve body.

ASSEMBLY
To assemble, reverse the disassembly procedure.
