Front Pivot Arm

REMOVAL







1. Remove the windshield wiper output arm cover.







2. Remove the windshield wiper pivot arm nut and remove the windshield wiper pivot arm and windshield wiper blade assembly from the pivot shaft.

INSTALLATION
1. Turn the ignition switch to the ACC or ON position.
2. Turn the windshield wiper/washer switch to LO to allow the windshield wiper mounting arm and pivot shaft to cycle three or four times.
3. Turn the windshield wiper/washer switch OFF. Allow the windshield wiper mounting arm and pivot shaft to reach the park position.







4. Position the windshield wiper pivot arm and windshield wiper blade assembly on the pivot shaft.

NOTE: The driver side windshield wiper pivot arm is marked D. The passenger side windshield wiper pivot arm is marked PL.

5. Install and tighten the windshield wiper pivot arm nut to 10-15 Nm (86-121 Lb-In).

NOTE: Ensure that the windshield wiper pivot arm and windshield wiper blade assembly is aligned with the pivot shaft so that the pivot shaft splines are fully seated.

6. Check and, if necessary, adjust the park position.
7. Install the windshield wiper output arm cover.
