Wiper Motor: Testing and Inspection

1. Key OFF.
2. Disconnect the windshield wiper motor C165.
3. Measure the resistance between the windshield wiper motor case and ground to ensure that the resistance is less than 5 ohms.
4. Apply voltage to these wire terminals.

Apply 12 Volts Result
"BL/W" LO speed wiper operation.
"R" HI speed wiper operation.

5. If the windshield wipers operate properly, return to the Pinpoint Tests. Pinpoint Tests
6. Otherwise, replace the windshield wiper motor.
